Have you just acquired a new apartment or are you thinking of renovating some corner of the house? The first decision regarding decoration is the coverings: they will be the basis of everything that comes after. Cold floors, such as porcelain and granite, are a great choice in most cases. However, no other material brings the comfort and warmth of wood. Thus, to make your choice easier, we have gathered here two types of flooring that are widely used to provide comfort and warmth. Vinyl or laminate flooring? What will your chosen one be?

A great bet for those looking for durability and comfort! Despite having a thinner thickness than the others, the vinyl floor is ecological – while it is made from recycled plastic. Since it has a simple and dirt-free application, it has won over many people who love the advantages of vinyl flooring .

Because it is laminated, vinyl flooring is more water resistant than laminate and wood flooring. This makes it easier to clean – perfect for those with children and pets at home. In addition, it is the quietest floor, it is anti-allergenic and flame retardant. When buying, you will find it available in a wide variety of colors and textures, a detail that makes choosing a lot easier. It is suitable for indoor areas, except the bathroom. Constant contact with water can, however, end up damaging the glue.

Laminate flooring is the closest visually to wood itself. Still with the advantage of being cheaper and more resistant than wood. Like vinyl flooring, it is also very easy and dirt-free to install. Its installation system has a blanket and fastening by glue or fittings.

Laminate flooring, as the name suggests, is composed of sheets and agglomerates and an upper layer protected with melamine resin. Made from reforestation wood, it is also an ecological material and can be found in the most varied finishes and can perfectly imitate wood.

The downside to vinyl flooring is that it is not water resistant, so it can be damaged by moisture more easily.

Given all this information, which of the two options do you prefer? Vinyl flooring or laminate flooring?
